Licensing Policy

Six licences, one meaning each

Every item on DevMall is sold under one of six platform licences: Personal, Commercial, Extended, SaaS, Developer and Agency. A buyer who has understood Extended once has understood it for every item on the marketplace.

Two things are always true

• You may always modify. Every licence permits modification, adaptation and internal forks.

A source-code marketplace whose licences forbid editing the source is selling nothing.

• You may never redistribute. No licence permits republishing the item itself, modified or

not, as a standalone file. This is the term that makes the marketplace possible.

Activations and projects

activation_limit is technical and enforced by the platform. project_limit is a term of the licence and reported rather than blocked. They are different numbers on purpose: a project usually has a development, a staging and a production host.

What happens when a licence lapses

Updates and support windows expire. Your right to keep running what you already have does not.
